This construction company was started in 1981 by Tim Dixon as Dixon Services, Inc, a general contracting entity performing small private projects solely in the greater Houston area. Because of other business concerns added shortly thereafter in the industrial painting, fencing and metal building sectors, the assumed name Construction LTD was added as a DBA in 1984 to separate the general contracting entity from the others, and has been the general contracting aspect of the parent since that time. Later the parent corporation, Dixon Services, Inc. was converted to a partnership for franchise tax purposes but the operation remained static. In the tradition of most general contractors, Construction LTD has self performed site layout, concrete, drywall, painting, acoustical, carpentry and finish carpentry throughout the years.

We have continued to adapt to market conditions and innovate delivery methods, but focused almost exclusively on public work for the last 17 years. Currently, our focus is privately funded projects with owners and developers in the multi-family residential, commercial, hospitality, medical, retail and professional sectors with a team approach utilizing either a Design – Build or a Construction Manager at Risk delivery system. Sovereign Builders Group, the parent company’s projected volume for projects from the fall of 2007 through December 2009 is $230M. We are excited about our new direction and the relationships we are establishing.

MEET THE TEAM

Tim Dixon

President

In 1981 at 21, after incurring an irreparable knee injury that ended his football scholarship Tim Dixon dropped out of college and started Construction LTD (CLTD). He admits “it was the hardest years of my life starting CLTD with rookie experience, no money, no credit and very little work going on in Houston during the great recession of the 1980’s”… Without a degree I had no safety net to fall back on so I had no choice but to push through and make it work.”

Seven years after CLTD began, he saved enough money to secure a surety bonding line in 1988 and began performing a steady diet of public work to stabilize the company. He made some excellent talent acquisitions and doubled the revenues of CLTD annually in the educational, institutional, governmental, airport sectors to the point that by 2003 the Houston Business Journal reported CLTD as the 10th largest general contractor in the greater Houston.

In 2006 he acquired a multifamily division and started building private commercial buildings and facilities, light industrial warehouses and manufacturing, retail centers, banks, medical projects, tenant finish buildout and religious facilities. His favorite endeavor is to build churches to expand the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Ron Weiser

Vice President

Ron Weiser is the Vice President and has been with Construction LTD for over 20 years. As a 1981 graduate from Texas A&M University with a Building Construction degree, Ron has worked his way up the construction Management ladder starting out as a Field Engineer, Superintendent, Project Manager, Estimator and Vice President. With over 40 years of hands on experience, Ron brings a vast knowledge of building and managing many types of construction projects including commercial, industrial, retail, institutional, municipal and private special projects. To Ron, working in the construction business is not just a job but a challenge to take someone’s dream and build it.

John Gause

Project Manager

John Gause is a Project Manager for Construction LTD and is currently executing over $9,000,000.00 in retail building development and municipal work. John has been with Construction LTD for over 17 years and has been a Project Manager for 15 of those years. His accomplishments include over 30 years of progressively responsible construction experience, with emphasis in Project Supervision and Management on medical, commercial, religious, and education projects. Mr. Gause has been involved in estimating, scheduling, and supervisory roles. John is a skilled and dedicated professional, capable of overseeing all aspects of multi-million dollar projects, while effectively interfacing with design/construction architects and owners. Mr. Gause recognizes and responds to clients’ concerns while bringing projects to a safe completion on schedule and within budget.

Charlie Gates

Project Manager

Charlie Gates has been with Construction LTD since August of 2017 and is currently in the process of completing the City of Galveston Fire Station #1. His accomplishments include over 20+ years of progressively responsible construction experience, with emphasis in Project Supervision and Management on interior, civil, medical, commercial, education, and building core and tenant improvement projects. Mr. Gates has been involved in designing, estimating, scheduling, and supervisory roles. Charlie is experienced with Local and State Building Codes affecting Medical, Educational and Municipal Facilities. Charlie obtained his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Construction from North Carolina State University. He is a skilled and dedicated professional, capable of overseeing all aspects of multi-million dollar projects, while effectively interfacing with design/construction architects and owners. Mr. Gates recognizes and responds to clients’ concerns while bringing projects to a safe completion on schedule and within budget.

Terry Tauriello

Project Manager

Terry Tauriello is an Estimator and Project Manager for Construction LTD. He has been with Construction LTD since July of 2018. With a Bachelor of Science in Civil Technology from The University of Houston, Terry’s accomplishments include over 30 years of progressively responsible construction experience, with emphasis in Project Supervision and Management of Governmental, Institutional, and Private projects. Mr. Tauriello has been involved in estimating, scheduling, and supervisory roles. Terry is a skilled and dedicated professional, capable of overseeing all aspects of multi-million-dollar projects, while effectively interfacing with design / construction architects and owners. Mr. Tauriello recognizes and responds to clients’ concerns while bringing projects to a safe completion on schedule and within budget.
